The design challenge was building a floating dog bowl that could be accurately weighed inside of a self-contained system. Exact measurements and tolerance were required to fit the scale, speakers, controllers, and the dog bowl itself as well as allowing easy disassembly.

A custom scale was built using load cell sensors and laser cut acrylic. An average portion of dog food was then weighed and calibrated to the scale. Upon a weight threshold of the food being reached, a random affirmation file would play from the internal controller. The bowl would not trigger again until the food was all eaten (a minimum weight threshold met)

The 3D printed shell was then post-processed and painted in the brand colors.
